With the IB mindset, MIS students are knowledgeable and well-versed in communication and self-reflection, placing importance on their character development along with their academic pursuits. They approach learning with curiosity and a spirit of inquiry, following social etiquette and possessing the ability to collaborate with others. MIS students maintain individualized development in their learning processes, exploring the essence of things, reasoning, and substantiating arguments, and deepening their knowledge through various forms of discovery, investigation, and research methods. They apply their academic knowledge to practical situations; MIS students" learning process is a self-exploration and self-actualization process. How do MISers learn and live? Let"s take a look at the highlights of last week.↓↓↓Academic Course Review 1G1: IB UOI Class

In G1, we embarked on an exciting exploration of our new unit focused on feelings and emotions. We completed a captivating book about an emotion detective, which has enhanced our understanding of emotions and feelings. We learned that emotions reflect our external experiences, while feelings pertain to our internal states.G2: IB PE Class

In PE classes, our G2 students delved into the world of Pickleball, a unique sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Under the guidance of professional coaches, the students engaged in a series of technical drills aimed at enhancing their Pickleball skills.G3: IB Library Class

In our library"s ICT class, our G3 students have been practicing typing in the ICT lab to enhance their basic computer skills. This activity not only exercises the children"s hand-eye coordination but is also key to improving the efficiency of information processing. G4: IB Dance Class

In the G4 dance class, the children"s performances have brought me endless surprises and joy. With the completion of the basic dance movements, we have now fully engaged in the rehearsal of the dance "Try Everything". The children have shown an admirable stage charm and a passionate performance enthusiasm at this stage.G5: IB UOI Class

In curriculum, we embarked on a new Unit of Inquiry, guiding students to delve into the history and development of media. The students actively discussed various forms of media they encounter in their daily lives, including newspapers, radio, television, and digital platforms.G6: French Class (G6-8)

Both the Lions and Eagles students learned their Christmas songs this week in preparation for the performance. This was an opportunity to work on pronunciation, focusing on specific French sounds, while also exploring the culture of Christmas in France. At first, the students were a bit shy, but as the rehearsals progressed, their confidence grew. By the end, everyone was singing with enthusiasm and energy, making the experience even more enjoyable and dynamic. They made noticeable progress, both in language and participation. Their efforts really paid off, and they are now ready for an impressive performance!G7: Art Class

In art class, our seventh-grade students successfully completed an ambitious art project titled "Space." The project was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstract art, whose works have opened the door for our students to explore the world of abstract art.G8: Music Class

Our G8 music class made significant strides in preparation for the upcoming Christmas concert. As rehearsals are now in full swing, students are eagerly gearing up to showcase their talents, predominantly using the guitar, as this is their primary instrument for the semester. To add depth to their performance, I introduced fingerstyle guitar playing, a technique that allows for the integration of melodies with simple bass lines, enabling students to play pleasing arrangements with relative ease.Club Courses Review2Dates: December 2nd - December 5th

At the same time, I encourage everyone to find time amidst the busy holiday to reflect on how our actions affect others and how we can develop together. The questionnaire is primarily based on the widely recognized “Internet Addiction Test (IAT)”. The IAT scale was developed with reference to the diagnostic criteria for impulse control disorders in DSM-IV, carefully designing 20 items. Each item uses a Likert 5-point rating scale, ranging from “1=Rarely” to “5=Always”, to quantify students’ responses to each question.
