She was the main leader of the music club and was hosting a small concert to attract more freshmen to join. I was captivated by the passionate rock music and the enthusiastic atmosphere of their club, so I decided to join.A week later, Ella organized a gathering: a meeting for new club members. She required attendees to wear outfits that showcased their personal style and to perform a piece. I was very interested but also quite confused, so I planned to ask her about the details regarding the outfits and the types of performances. She told me that the meeting would primarily assess the new members" creativity and love for music. Therefore, she suggested that my outfit include something I made by hand, and for the performance, I could choose a song that matched my outfit.During our later conversation, Ella mentioned what she wore when she participated in this gathering back in the day - a hand-knitted sweater and a bouquet of handmade roses. She shared that she loved making handcrafted items since she was little and was quite skilled at it. While knitting, she could completely forget her worries and immerse herself in her own world, which was very relaxing for her. When I asked her why she chose to stay and organize this music club, she said that music has the power to heal any misfortune or experience, allowing people to express their feelings and attitudes towards things through various melodies. She thought that was cool, adding that music would be an integral part of her life. I completely agreed with her perspective, and during our conversation, I felt her passion for music. I decided to prepare seriously for the upcoming gathering.To prepare for the gathering, I purchased a pink JK skirt online and wore a handmade corsage with a Japanese style on the collar, along with a pearl necklace that was my mother’s most precious and expensive accessory, given to me as a gift for starting school, symbolizing her support. On the day of the gathering, I sang a Japanese song, earning applause and cheers from everyone. However, after immersing myself in the performance, I discovered that the pearl necklace was missing when I returned to my dorm. I never found it, which made me feel quite lost and guilty. Fortunately, I made many like-minded friends through that gathering, which deepened my love for music and the club. Subsequently, I successfully became the secondary leader of the club through an election, working alongside senior Ella to organize the club even better.As finals approached, I felt uncertain about my major exam, so I invited Ella to study together in a self-study room. The decor style of that place attracted me greatly, as the owner had placed many flowers and green plants, complemented by light music and a subtle floral fragrance, which significantly improved my study efficiency. After a few days of diligent review, I successfully obtained a national scholarship. That place later became my regular study location for exam preparation.After graduation, I maintained contact with Ella. I feel fortunate to have made such a positive, optimistic, and music-loving friend. Her enthusiasm and love for music have continuously inspired me, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and goals in my later life.
