10. 对社会有价值的人Part 2Describe a person who has useful job to the society  描述一个工作对社会有价值的人You should say:Whothis person isHow youknew him/herWhattype of work he/she doesAndexplain why you think he she contributes to the society示范答案：I"d like to talk about an elderly lady who devotes herself in the promotion of Chinese calligraphy. I bumped into one of her videos on the social media. She looks really hale and hearty, but actually she is already over her 60s. In that video, she was using Chinese calligraphy to write the names of different cities in China. And one thing special about her calligraphy was that she adapted the look of the Chinese characters to resemble the specialty of that city. For example, she used the very bold strokes which looked like oil rigs in the name of a city, which used to be a major industrial hub. And she used a very delicate and exquisite handwriting which looked like the palm trees in the name of a southern city featuring the beautiful sea view. You can tell her expertise from her handwriting at first glance. Actually, she is one of the masters in Chinese calligraphy.  According to her, she had a great liking for Chinese calligraphy since she was five years old. But as the electronic gadgets are swarming into people"s life, less and less young people have interest in this time-honored art form.  She was in great agony that we are losing this culture. So she came up with the idea of promoting calligraphy on social media. Instead of having those run-of-the-mill videos, She was thinking out of the box by combining the popular memes into the traditional art.  I think that she really made a great contribution to the society by protecting our unique folk art. She is going viral. And she is doing a great job promoting the Chinese calligraphy. If this art form disappeared, it would be a huge loss to our culture. So I think her work is absolutely priceless to our society. Part 31. What jobs are well paid?Well, I guess nowadays, programmers and finance practitioners can really get a high salary because they graduate from the well-known universities and their skills are irreplaceable.That"s why a lot of young people are flocking into these industries due to the promising prospect. Some of them can earn a million yuan in a single year, with the bonus and fringe benefits.2. What are the changes in working conditions?I think the working conditions have significantly improved over the past decades.In the past, workers have to endure the scorching environment in the summer.But now, most white collars can enjoy the air conditioning in the office which is really cozy and comfy.Plus, in the past, people have to work overtime without extra pay. But now their rights are well-defended and the working condition can be accommodating.3. What are the impacts of the epidemic on the work environment?  Well, I guess during the pandemic, a lot of people were forced to work from home. So their work environment has been cozy and comfy because they could lie down on a couch having a video conference.  But some jobs and professions were endangered by the epidemic. For example, the tour guides and the delivery guys face the looming danger of losing their jobs, not to mention having harsh working environment.4. Which jobs in your country have low wages? Why are their wages low?I guess for the most part, those people who do manual labor have the minimum wage. It"s simply due to the fact that they don"t have a diploma from a university. It"s a hurdle preventing them getting a decent white-dollar job.I don"t think it necessarily means that their work does not contribute to the society.
