特殊工种穿着制服的好处
在某些行业，如制造业，为了保障员工的安全(safety)和生产的品质(the quality of production)，着装标准是必须的(mandatory)。如在食品工厂中，为减少细菌(germs)，保障食品品质，手套(gloves)是必须的。在建筑工地(construction site)和医院(hospital)中，个人防护装备是必须的(personal protective equipment), 如防护服(protective clothing), 头盔(helmet), 和护目镜(goggles)
In some industries, e.g. manufacturing, certain guidance regarding the dress codes is required in order to ensure the safety of employees and the quality of production. For example, in a food factory, gloves are mandatory as they protect the quality of food by reducing germs (Eagle, 2017). Jobs in construction sites and hospitals come with the need for personal protective equipment — i.e., protective clothing, goggles, helmets, and other safety equipment (The Wood Companies, 2019).

特种制服的一些弊端和解决办法
有一些制服穿起来不是非常舒适，防护服(hazmat suit)，化学防护服(chemical protective suits) 就是很好的例子。虽然这种衣服很热，很笨重，不舒服, 但是在有毒环境中，它们是必不可少的。希望新科技新材料如Chemprotex能够得到应用，提升防护服的设计，能够让他们穿起来更舒服。
Some uniforms (e.g. hazmat suits*, chemical protective suits) may be uncomfortable to wear. They are “hot, heavy, and clumsy”, but are indispensable in toxic environments. It is hoped that new technologies and materials, such as Chemprotex, can be used to improve the design of protective suits, making them more comfortable to wear.
*防护服通常供消防员(firefighters)，急救医生(emergency medical technician)，护理人员(paramedics)，研究员，处理泄露的工作者，清理污染设施的专家，以及在有毒环境中工作的工作者使用。
* Hazmat suit is usually worn by firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, researchers, personnel responding to toxic spills, specialists cleaning up contaminated facilities, and workers in toxic environments (Wikipedia, 2020).

非特殊行业，职场着装的普遍意义
职场着装的正式程度(formality)通常由员工与客户(clients)的接触(interaction)频率及类型决定。在客户频繁光顾，且期望公司员工展示(exhibit)出专业性(professionalism)的场合，着装通常要求正式。这些公司包括律师事务所(law offices)，金融咨询公司(financial consulting firms), 银行(bank)，和一些大公司。
The formality of the workplace dress code is normally determined by the number and type of interactions employees have with customers or clients in the workplace. In workplaces that are frequented by clients who expect their counselors to exhibit professionalism and integrity, the dress is often formal. This includes law offices, financial consulting firms, banks, and some large businesses (HEATHFIELD, 2020).
