考研英语大作文就是短文写作，占20分，得根据主题句、提纲、情景或者图表格之类的提示，写160-200词——标点不算字数。图画描述段常用的：As is vividly shown in the picture…It is clearly depicted in the picture that…或者直接说This picture depicts a thought-provoking scene of…图表的话，According to the figures given in the chart…The chart above provides a series of essential figures， illustrating the changes over…years.或者The graph demonstrates that the number of... is growing/declining rapidly in...；

话题引出段能这么用：Nowadays，越来越多人关注…（there is a growing concern over the issue of…）或者People in growing numbers are directing their attention to…碰到When it comes to…，可以说人们看法不一样（people’s notions may vary from one to another）。传统美德/价值观里说…（Traditional virtue/value has it that…），但现在大家…；

观点对比的话，直接说辩论里有反对声音（Opposite voices are now rising in the debate）——有人坚信…（Some people firmly believe that…），反过来，不少人说…（On the contrary， quite a few people argue that…）。有争议的问题会引发对立观点（The controversial issue has aroused opposite opinions），一个关注…，另一个围绕…；

利弊列举段用老话说Every coin has two sides，这个问题也不例外。首先…（Above all…），另外…（In addition…），更重要的是…（More importantly…）。但负面影响不能忽略（However， the negative influence it renders should not be neglected）——…不仅…还…（…not only… but also...）。想知道这现象是福是祸？列优缺点就能说清楚（Is this phenomenon a blessing or a curse? The following list of advantages and disadvantages can explain everything）；

举例的话，For instance…或者Take…for an example，再或者A case in point is…下面的例子能当强证据（The following illustrations can serve as strong evidence of the phenomenon）；

问为什么会有这现象？一般三个因素（Why should this phenomenon take place? There are generally three factors accounting for it）。全盘考虑的话，能把巨变归到三个方面（Having taken everything into consideration， we may attribute the sharp change to three aspects）；

图画的目的是让我们注意…（The purpose of the picture is to show us that due attention has to be paid to…）。…的事实/现象说明…（The fact/phenomenon that… indicates that…）。仔细看图画细节，能聊它暗含的意思（Having scrutinized the details of the picture， we can discuss the implications subtly conveyed from it）；

结论段直接In conclusion…，或者In my opinion…、As far as I am concerned…。考虑所有分析，能自信得出结论…（Taking into account all the analyses above， we may confidently come to the conclusion that…）；

预测趋势的话，说无可否认…会继续往好/坏方向增/减（There is no denying that… will continue increasing/decreasing in the better/worse direction）。毫无疑问，图表里的趋势近期会持续增/减（Undoubtedly， the tendency reflected from the chart will undergo a continuous increase/decrease in the near future）；

建议措施段，所以必须采取严厉措施（Therefore， it is imperative that we should take some drastic measures）。我觉得得立刻拿两个有效措施渡危机（As far as I am concerned， two effective measures must be immediately taken to pull through the crisis）。结果就是，用两个方法解决问题比较好（As a result， it is advisable to settle the problem by two means）；

小作文占10分，要写约100词的应用文，最近几年都是书信。不管什么话题，开头、结尾、感谢道歉的句型直接套就行——一般开头就说I"m writing to…，开门见山。通知类用I"m writing to inform you that…，请求类I"m writing to seek your assistance in…，回应广告用I"m writing in response to your advertisement in…，建议类I"m writing to express my views on…，申请奖学金说I"m writing to apply for the scholarship that your department offers to students from other countries，咨询信息用I"m writing to see if it is possible for you to provide me with information regarding…，表达失望/不满就说I"m writing to express my disappointment/dissatisfaction about…；

感谢的话，I"m most grateful to you for…或者写封信说I"m writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for…，也能说I would like to convey in this letter my heartfelt thanks for…，觉得欠人情用I feel greatly indebted to you for…，或者直接说I"m writing to tell you how greatly I appreciate all you have done for me…。要是没有你的帮忙，我就…（But for your kind assistance， I would have…），再谢一遍说I must thank you again for your generous help，最后Please accept my deepest gratitude.；

道歉的话，I feel really sorry to you for…或者I must apologize to you for…，没能做某事说I would like to express my deepest apology / regret for not being able to…，请对方接受道歉用Please accept my sincere apology for…，想让对方知道你有多愧疚说I want you to know how badly I feel about…；

结尾的话，申请/求职说Any favorable consideration of my application will be highly appreciated.，邀请函用We should be very pleased if you could honor us with your presence.，祝愿对方事业更成功说Best wishes for your greater success in your career.。最后可以说Thank you for your patience and concern in reading this letter. I hope this does not cause you too much inconvenience. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.；

经典写作高级句式推荐：1) 还有个（好的/理想的）例子，比如Another (good/ideal) case in point is that of...；2) 除了已经众所周知/熟悉的…例子，还能加一个：To the already well-known/familiar examples/cases of..., another may/can be added:...；3) 另一个阐述/例子，比如As another illustration/example, let"s take/see (the case of)...；4) 从…能找到/举出非常类似的例子/故事：A very similar case/example/story can be cited/told from...；5) 也许再举个…的例子就够了，比如：Perhaps it will suffice to mention another example/case/story of..., which unfolds as follows:...；6) 只有通过…才能…：It is only by/through...that...；7) 从上面的例子看，结论是：From the exemplifications above, it turns out that...；8) 上面的论述说明，…不重要，重要的是：As the foregoing turns out, it matters not...but...；9) 的确，各方面证据都证明/证实/支持/表明/赞同这个真理/观点/格言：Indeed, the evidence upon all sides justifies/confirms/supports/points to/is in favor of the truth/view/maxim that...；10) 从所有证据/上面提到的内容，我们能合理/安全得出/推出/推断/断定结论：Judging from all evidence offered/From what has been mentioned above, we may reasonably/safely arrive at/come to/reach/draw/deduce/assert the conclusion that...；11) 如果有什么更/很值得一提/考虑/关心/认真研究的，那就非…莫属：If there is anything more/well worthy of mention/consideration/attention/careful study, nothing comes close to...；12) 为了精益求精/更清楚/更简单，应该采取进一步/更深/更明智的步骤/方法/研究/措施/计划：To make the better (clearer/easier) best (clearest/easiest), a further/deeper/wiser step/way/study/method/measure/plan is/should be...；13) 如果你要…/想…，关键/理想/重要/必要的是：If you are to..., it is vital/ideal/important/essential that...；14) 然而，值得指出的最重要/本质/实质/关键的事是：The most important/essential/substantial/critical thing/matter worth pointing out, however, is...；15) 采纳/遵照上面的指导/建议/指示/规则能…，但如果你…会做得更好/收获更多：Following/Abiding by the above instructions/advice/directions/rules can...but you will achieve/gain/do better/more if you...；16) 引人深思的对比在于：The comparison/contrast that calls for deepest thought lies/consists in...；17) A和B*引人注目的/尖锐的/令人震惊的/有启发的对比在于：The most striking/sharpest/shocking/instructive contrast between A and B can be found in...；18) 如果和…对比，(你关注的)事/问题/人与…在…上有本质/很大/根本/深刻的区别：If standing in contrast to..., the thing/matter/person (of one"s concern) differs essentially/greatly/radically/profoundly from the reference in...；19) 二者对比的效果，*显著的区别在于：The effect of comparison/contrast between both is heightened most by the difference in...；20) 然而，即使在相似/同样的环境/条件/情况下，二者结果也会完全不同（或者A和B根本/完全不同）：Still under/in similar/the same circumstances/conditions/situations, however, the two things can turn out quite/most differently(或A turns out to be radically/utterly/totally different from B).；

复习还有三点要注意：第*，考试时盯紧语法、语气、标点——别拼错单词、犯语法错，别为了华丽用没把握的词或长句，选自己*熟的词汇、短语、句式（包括连接上下句/段落的关联词、习惯用语、固定搭配，别搞混词类、误用及物不及物动词；注意时态一致、主谓一致、名词单复数、被动主动语态；标点别小瞧，一个点可能意思全反）。第二，选*能体现中心、*有代表性的材料，前后和段落逻辑要连得上，用恰当的关联词把思路串起来。第三，字数和卷面一定要注意——不能不够，哪怕一句话翻来覆去说也要凑够，字数不够再厉害也拿不了高分。

另外还有几点：第*，试试名词同义替换——picture换成cartoon、drawing，people换成persons、folk，不同位置用不同词但意思不变。第二，用谚语、短语或连词，比如one…another、some…others表达观点，背点谚语或者临场编也行。第三，用多种语法——强调（do not +动词或fail to +动词）、双重否定、感叹、疑问、插入语（比如The 主语，I think，谓语）、从句、倒装、排比，让句子更丰富。
