本次早读准备了两个主题，先聊聊「种植果蔬」。

第*个问题是“你对种植果蔬感兴趣吗”？答案挺实在的——A bit, but not enough to do it seriously. I’ve grown some herbs and tomatoes in the past, mostly because they’re easy and don’t take much space. It’s satisfying to use something you’ve grown yourself, but I wouldn’t call it a hobby. I prefer just buying good produce from the shops.

再说到“英国种植果蔬流行吗”？情况是这样的——Yes, in the UK it is, especially among older people. Lots of towns have allotments where people grow their own food. During the lockdowns it became even more popular, as people had extra time at home. That said, not everyone has the space or patience for it.

至于“种植蔬菜容易吗”？其实没那么简单——Not really. Some plants are simple, like lettuce or herbs, but others take a lot of effort and the right conditions. You also have to deal with pests and unpredictable weather. In the UK, the climate can make it harder, especially for fruit that needs more sun.

最后聊“学校该教学生种蔬菜吗”？我的观点是——Yes, I think so. It’s a practical skill and it helps young people understand where food comes from. It doesn’t need to be a major subject, but a few lessons in gardening could be useful. Plus, it gets students outdoors instead of sitting in a classroom all day.

第二个主题聊聊「拥挤的地方」。

第*个问题“你家乡或城市拥挤吗”？答案是——Yes, it is, especially in the centre. I’m based in the UK, and in most cities the high streets and shopping centres get very busy at weekends. Public transport can also feel overcrowded during rush hour. Outside the centre it’s calmer, but overall I’d still describe it as fairly crowded.

“你喜欢拥挤的地方吗”？说实话——Not particularly. I don’t mind them if there’s a special event, like a concert or a football match, because you expect the atmosphere to be lively. But for everyday activities, like shopping, I prefer quieter spaces. It’s less stressful and you don’t have to queue for everything.

“上次在拥挤地方是什么时候”？就在几周前——The last time was a few weeks ago when I went through London Waterloo station. It was rush hour, and there were huge numbers of commuters rushing for trains. I remember having to weave through people just to get to the platform. It’s impressive in one way, but also quite exhausting.

“拥挤地方有缺点吗”？当然有——Yes, definitely. They can be noisy, stressful, and sometimes even unsafe if people start pushing. In shops or markets, it often means long queues and less personal space. Crowded streets also make traffic worse, which is already a big issue in many UK cities.
