考雅思口语的学生常犯愁——想丰富内容却没高级词用。今儿先拎几个Part3能用的高级词组,第*个就是“Emotional Value(情绪价值)”。

用在人际关系、社交媒体、教育甚至工作动机里——只要是说“被理解、被鼓励、被治愈”的情感意义,比如聊people、friendship、family的时候都能用。延伸着用的话,比如bring emotional comfort/support(给情感安慰或支持)、feel emotionally connected(觉得情感上连着)、provide emotional fulfillment(满足情感需求)、emotional well-being(情绪健康)。高频题比如“Do you think it is better to have a few close friends or many casual friends?”,回答可以直接套:“I think it’s better to have a few close friends, because they can offer more than just company. They bring emotional comfort and support, like understanding, encouragement, and a sense of belonging that you can’t buy with money. In many cases, emotional value helps people stay strong mentally, especially during tough times.”

聊完人际关系里的情绪价值,得说说科技时代的“Digital Detox(数字排毒)”——现在人太依赖屏幕了。

这词儿针对社交媒体、科技依赖、心理健康、生活平衡这类话题,比如聊technology、lifestyle、stress、mental health的时候用。延伸表达有take a digital detox(做数字排毒)、disconnect from screens(远离屏幕)、reduce screen time(少碰电子设备)、regain focus and inner peace(找回想专注的劲儿和内心平静)、unplug from social media(暂时退网)。比如问“Should people spend less time online?”,可以这么答:“Absolutely. People are constantly exposed to online information rather than real life, which can be quite overwhelming. That’s why it’s really important, especially for teenagers, to reduce their screen time. In fact, more and more people are starting to take a digital detox to regain focus and inner peace. Personally, I believe spending less time online is not only beneficial for mental health but also helps us reconnect with the real world.”

聊科技影响,年轻人的“Instant Gratification(即时满足)”毛病得提。

用在消费文化、年轻人习惯、自控力、科技影响里——比如technology、education、lifestyle这类话题。延伸着说的话,seek instant gratification(追即时满足)、delay gratification(延迟满足)、short-term pleasure vs long-term growth(短期爽和长期成长比)、driven by instant feedback(被即时反馈推着走)。比如问“Why do many young people lack patience nowadays?”,回答可以是:“Personally speaking, it’s mainly because they’ve got used to instant gratification — everything comes so fast these days, like online shopping, fast food, or even likes on social media. As a result, many young people tend to chase short-term pleasure rather than long-term growth.”

消费、科技之外,“Comfort Zone(舒适区)”是成长类话题的常客——口语Part3常问。

用在挑战自我、个人成长、职业选择、教育冒险里——比如career、study、personal growth、risk-taking、change这类话题。延伸表达有step out of one’s comfort zone(走出舒适区)、challenge oneself(挑战自己)、embrace uncertainty(接受不确定)、personal growth happens outside the comfort zone(成长在舒适区外)、overcome fear of failure(克服失败恐惧)、stay where things were familiar and predictable(待在熟悉的老地方)。比如问“Why are some people unwilling to try new things?”,可以答:“Well, I think it’s mainly because they’re not used to challenging themselves or embracing uncertainty. They feel safe in their comfort zone, even though it limits their personal growth. So, instead of taking risks, they prefer to stay where things are familiar and predictable. It gives them a sense of control, even if it means missing out on new opportunities.”

最后说社交媒体带出来的“Social Comparison(社会比较)”——这问题太普遍了。

用在聊社交媒体、幸福感、自信心、教育消费里——比如media、lifestyle、psychology、success、motivation这类话题。延伸表达有lead to social comparison(引发社会比较)、feel inadequate(觉得不够好)、compare real life to others’ online lives(把真实生活和别人的网上形象比)、social comparison can cause pressure and anxiety(社会比较让人压力大、焦虑)。比如问“How does social media affect people’s life?”,可以答:“Well, we all know that social media has made people’s lives more interesting and connected. But at the same time, it often leads to social comparison — people compare their real lives with others’ online lives, which can make them feel unhappy or even inadequate. A little comparison can motivate us to improve, but too much of it just causes unnecessary pressure and anxiety.”
