题目大意
公司的高管薪资远高于普通员工,有人认为有必要,有人觉得不公平。讨论双边观点,给出你的立场。
思路解析
2020年最后一场考试出了一道工作类话题的大作文,题型是双边讨论类,考鸭们需要讨论双方各自的利弊,并给出自己的观点(中立或支持某一方)。
老师这边持中立观点,两个观点都不够合理
甲方的错误:支持高薪necessary但未给出具体的前提,可以视为一种武断的表达。一个高等该拿多少钱应该根据其实际贡献予以量化评估。而对于一些重要岗位的普通员工,根据其贡献所应获得的报酬未必会比高管低。
乙方的错误:认为高薪unfair同样也是武断的结论。unfair的概念源自不同人的视角,这种观点仅以表面的工作辛劳为指标,而忽视了领导人才的深层价值,比如对于公司重要前景的决策、高管拥有的对公司发展有益的丰富资源等。

There is an opinion that leadership of big corporations deserve higher salaries than basic employees, while others consider it an unfair trend. From my perspective, neither of the two views is justified enough to represent the entire picture if not contextualized.
On the one hand, the problem with those championing the justification of higher salaries of senior managers resides in their lack of evaluation of their contributions. The devotees of the payment hierarchy may attribute the prosperity of a company mainly to its decision makers rather than those toiling at grassroots; however, it is difficult for me to see such a logic as anything other than personal presupposition - without scrutinizing substantiated contributions of each unit, it doesn’t make sense to venerate anyone over others in a company – only by assessing the task achievements of individuals with a quantifiable method can we say one deserves his or her paychecks.
By the same token, it is also generalized to label the income hierarchy between the leadership and the grassroots unfair. Rather than something generally accepted, the descriptor ‘unfair’ is subject to viewpoints from which individuals view the topic in discussion. Those who criticize the salary gap may focus on toil of basic workers while rendering directors with the common public image of a bunch of layabouts; nevertheless, such an assumption mistakenly ignores the underlying relevance of decision makers to a business – sometimes it is foresight of the leadership that brings million-dollar orders or leads a company out of the crisis.
From what has been discussed above, it is my conclusion therefore, the justification for directors to earn more than regular employees is a question to which the answer is context dependent, and therefore it is simplistic to label it either necessary or unfair.
